I decided to have surgery because wearing glasses and contact lenses was so inconvenient. Since I usually wore contacts, my corneas were thin, and I was told LASIK wasn’t possible, so I decided on LASEK. The surgery itself ended really simply, but the pain was insane. I thought it wouldn’t hurt that much, but it hurt a lot.
I lived for about a week listening to the radio.
I can’t forget the exhilaration when I opened my eyes. I was surprised because the colors looked different from what I usually saw.
My current vision is maintained at 1.0, and I have no particular discomfort. However, as a side effect, I don’t see well in dark places.
