It’s been about three months since I said goodbye to the long nose that had been my complex, so I came to write a review lol. First, in terms of facial length, my midface was on the long side. So ever since I was young, whenever I looked in the mirror, my nose looked long, and I think I always thought, once I become an adult, I definitely have to get surgery..!! My friends told me my nose wasn’t bad enough to need surgery, but if you’re not satisfied yourself, you keep seeing only that part and worrying about it So I decided I absolutely had to get it done this year!! and got it done right after the New Year lol.
For the surgery, I had silicone placed in the nasal bridge, and used donated costal cartilage and ear cartilage for the nasal tip! In case anyone is curious why I used donated costal cartilage, I’ll explain: I liked the three advantages that 1. the height can be raised as much as I want, 2. there’s no burden of pain, and 3. it doesn’t leave a scar! Of course, I proceeded after sufficient consultation with Director Kwak!
As you can tell from the before photos, my nose was round and long, so I wanted a nose that looked more open and refreshed while adjusting the length to suit my face better. I thought that would suit my features better too, so after the CT scan, I asked a lot of questions, and this was the only place that checked everything one by one with care lol. I felt I could trust them with it, so I booked the surgery.
In the early days after surgery, I had a splint on and there was swelling, so I didn’t take many photos. But now that the splint is off and the swelling has gone down, I naturally started taking tons of photos lol. Just as I had hoped, the nose length was corrected, and the straight-to-slightly-curved line came out well, so I really like it, you know? Since I’m at three months, both major and minor swelling have almost all gone down, so now it just feels like my own nose lol. What’s funny is that once I actually had the surgery, my friends praised me, saying I got it done well and that I look more feminine lol. That made me feel even more that getting the surgery was the right choice.
I had never compared the before and after photos this openly before, but seeing them, my impression definitely looks cleaner and more refreshed lol. Before, I always had to contour my nose when wearing makeup, but after getting just my nose done, I became confident even going around bare-faced lol.
