Before/after/after. I’m 6 months post-op from male rhinoplasty. I had the surgery with Director Kim Da-alm at Oblie Plastic Surgery in Gangnam. The surgical areas were the nasal tip (septal cartilage + ear cartilage) and the nasal bridge with silicone (custom implant), raised about 3.8 mm based on the glabella. I felt that my wide, spread-out bulbous nose was ruining my facial image, so I thought that changing just my nose would improve my impression quite a bit. That’s why I decided to have surgery, and I searched hard online and visited clinics in person to find a hospital.
The two things I considered most important before surgery were the director’s skill and a place where I could have a lot of conversation. I thought I would only get a satisfying result if I could explain my complaints and desired improvements to the director in detail. In that respect, Oblie allowed at least 3 consultations before surgery (first consultation, custom implant design, and pre-op consultation), and the director was also detailed and sincere during the consultations, so I chose this place. It has now been 6 months since the surgery, and compared to the 3-month mark, the swelling has gone down even more, to the point that I realized I really had a lot of swelling. I think it will continue to go down little by little. The more it subsides, the sharper my nose is becoming, so I really think I did well getting rhinoplasty. If you’re worried because of swelling, don’t worry. Time is the best medicine. There was also some swelling inside my nose, so breathing had been uncomfortable, but breathing has gradually become more comfortable too. If you’re planning rhinoplasty, I recommend Oblie Plastic Surgery!
