They kept saying it's better to make it look natural, that the crookedness isn't a problem, and that revision surgery with autologous costal cartilage could have side effects too, so it felt like they didn't want to do it haha
Still, since I kept appealing, they said, then if you want, they can do revision surgery for me. When I said I wanted it, they told me to use autologous costal cartilage and custom-make the silicone, and told me to consult with the manager.
But before that, they said the previous consultation manager had quit and connected me with another consultation manager, and that consultation manager also consulted with me aggressively.
But before I went for the consultation, a few months earlier I had asked the manager in charge over the phone whether surgery was possible for simple dissatisfaction, and I was told that even from the photos, it did look like there was a problem, so probably only material costs and anesthesia costs would be charged.
When I asked whether the doctor in charge would really redo surgery for something like this, they said yes, so that's why I went for the re-consultation.
Anyway, the conversation went like this:
"Manager: Because of facial asymmetry, there's nothing we can really do about the crooked nasal tip, and even if we do the nasal tip with autologous costal cartilage, the spread-out nasal tip won't become slim. And you say the columella is tucked in, but it's difficult to bring it out."
Me: You're not talking about ways to improve it, you just keep saying it can't be done. So how much would it cost?"
I had heard that some places don't do it for dissatisfaction, but it was over 6 million won. If it were a revision surgery consultation at another hospital, I would understand, but..
It's the same price as my previous functional nose surgery + rhinoplasty.
It just looked like they had no intention of doing it and were playing word games, so I just left (I think they're filtering out people like me this way).
And I think the consultation manager I had before was there, but they deliberately said she had quit (the face shape and voice were the same, she seemed to have had eye surgery, and she made eye contact with me.. I'm not someone who lacks an eye for detail).
If you're going to do the design you want, why even do plastic surgery? If they had told me from the beginning that they were going to do the surgery like this, I wouldn't have done it. This has seriously been such an infuriating day..
