The before-and-after photos are from epicanthoplasty restoration/epicanthoplasty reconstruction. It has been over a month and a half since the surgery, and about a month since the stitches were removed. I decided to have revision epicanthoplasty (restoration) because I had often been told that my impression looked too sharp. Honestly, after getting it done, my overall impression became much softer and the scarring improved, so I’m satisfied, but there were also times when my friends didn’t notice. It was mostly personal satisfaction! At first, I was very satisfied, and maybe because I got Botox since I tend to open my eyes strongly with my forehead, my double eyelids became smaller, and they haven’t returned. But I’m just accepting it. I think this surgery takes longer to recover from than expected. You can’t wear makeup for a long time, and the scars also last a long time, so please make sure you have plenty of time before getting the surgery!
To be honest, a lot of time has passed since the photos were taken.. Compared with the postoperative photos, the lacrimal caruncle area has opened up more, so when I compare it with before surgery, my eyes feel like they look almost similarly close together again. It’s like it became about the same whether I did it or not.. So I’m really disappointed, and I regret not closing it a bit more.
