Before <eyes before surgery> After <2 days after eye surgery> After <2 weeks after surgery> After <I put comparison photos together for myself> Reason for surgery -My goal wasn’t double eyelids; my eyelashes kept poking my eyes, so I had chronic tears streaming down my face. I’d wanted to get surgery for entropion for a long time, but I didn’t have time and the circumstances weren’t right, so I couldn’t. This time I had a consultation and decided to do canthoplasty together too.
What I had done -Entropion correction, epicanthoplasty, lateral canthoplasty! The reason I did canthoplasty together was that since I was already getting eye surgery, I wanted my eyes to look more open overall. My original eyes had double eyelids, but they really felt blocked off on all sides. Fortunately, I had enough room, and they said surgery was possible to the extent I wanted, so I got it done.
Day of surgery -It was my first surgery ever, so I went in full of nerves. I met the director, went over the design once again, and heard explanations about how the surgery would proceed and how to take care of things afterward. I think I listened to explanations for almost 20 minutes then? After that, I had the surgery.
1 week after surgery -Honestly, until then the bruising was bad and I could see the stitches in my eyes, so my eyes looked a bit scary..;; My dad saw them and was startled, asking if it was okay, but my mom had had lower-eyelid fat removed before so she knew, and told me that it’s normally all like that and not to worry. I was startled too, but people say a lot that plastic surgery is about waiting it out, so I decided to shut up and wait.
2 weeks after surgery -I went to the clinic, got the stitches removed, and had the director check my progress. I also got a swelling laser treatment, and when the director said it was healing well, I felt a bit relieved. Strangely, once the stitches were removed, the bruises also disappeared quickly and I could see things settling into place. I didn’t really worry about swelling because I didn’t have much to begin with. If I hadn’t known this and had sobbed in the early stage of surgery, asking if something had gone wrong and crying hysterically.. that would’ve been legendary foolishness.
Things I like -The part I’m most satisfied with is, of course, that my eyelashes no longer poke my eyes;; Because of this, my eye area was always wet with tears, stung, and felt uncomfortable like dust had gotten in, but it’s all improved. -Natural canthoplasty.. When canthoplasty is done roughly, it can look excessive and be obvious to anyone that you had eye surgery, but I’m told mine doesn’t look surgical unless I specifically say so. Friends who knew me before said my eyes definitely got bigger and asked what I did, whether I lost weight, what I had done. -Postoperative care! Honestly, I didn’t know much about plastic surgery, so I didn’t even know this was something I had to check, but after having surgery myself, I felt that getting swelling treatment every time I went made my recovery faster. For any plastic surgery, I think it’s important not to overdo it and to manage aftercare well.
Wrap-up -I didn’t have double eyelid surgery, so I don’t really have anything to say about the line itself.. but I sometimes see people worrying soon after surgery, asking whether it failed or what if the swelling doesn’t go down, so I want to tell them to just wait no matter what. Of course, if it’s still like that after a year, there may be a problem, but if it’s a clinic you chose after sincerely doing your footwork and consultations, I think it will settle on its own without buying worries in advance. I think that’s how important positive mind control is too..!
