Before-before-after-after-after I’m 1 year post-op from double-jaw surgery at an oral and maxillofacial clinic. I had double-jaw surgery and two types of facial contouring at Y Oral and Maxillofacial Clinic near Nonhyeon Station last March.
A year has really flown by. Before surgery, because of my teeth alignment, jaw asymmetry, and long face, I hated taking photos, and when I looked at my side profile in the mirror, I hated how my face looked so much... Now I’m happy because those things are gone. haha
The first week after surgery was a crisis because it was hard to breathe, and I only drank soy milk... For a month, I couldn’t brush my teeth, so it felt really uncomfortable For two months, while doing mouth-opening exercises, my jaw made sounds, like sand and gravel grinding... I started eating soy milk or soft foods, and it felt like I could finally live a bit... In the third month, I hit a crisis because I looked ugly lol The sense of despair.... lol Every month was really mentally hard...
Still, if you ask whether I would do the surgery again if I went back to before, I think I would do it again.
The recovery process was hard, but... I could endure it again haha;; I’m satisfied now. People I met after a long time didn’t recognize me;;;
