At another hospital, they looked at my CT scan and said my septal cartilage was too small, so I absolutely had to use costal cartilage. If I used autologous costal cartilage, the surgery fee would come out to almost about 5 million won. At the hospital where I had surgery, I asked after they saw my CT scan whether my septum was small, and they said it’s because the septum is not something you cut out completely; you have to leave a lot so the nose can be maintained. They said harvesting autologous costal cartilage would be burdensome because of scarring and other factors, so if there wasn’t enough, let’s use ear cartilage or donated costal cartilage. In the end, they said they did the surgery with septal cartilage and ear cartilage. Another thing that surprised me was that, because my nose was low, I thought implant-free rhinoplasty wouldn’t be possible, but I still had some bridge height, so we proceeded with implant-free rhinoplasty. They explained the surgical method in detail too, but I truly remember none of it lol. People who know the surgical-method details really have good memories lol So my low nose used to look like this, and now it became like this~~ The surgery went so well that I regret not getting rhinoplasty earlier. I got to experience the dra!ma!tic! change I used to see in rhinoplasty reviews. For the first month, there was swelling and bruising, so I couldn’t really tell, but at some point there was a day when I looked in the mirror and thought, huh?? They say some people go “huh?” right after removing the nasal splint, but for me it wasn’t to that extent. It was really at some moment when I looked and thought, huh? and then it was so pretty, I liked it. I’ve seen countless rhinoplasty reviews too, but I don’t think there are many people whose before-and-after change is as big as mine. I wasn’t expecting this much either, but it came out so well and I’m really happy. If you have a low nose, especially a low nasal tip, get rhinoplasty as soon as possible! Seriously
