Before<Before>Before<Before>After<After>For my eyes, this was revision surgery, and I had the surgery with Director Nam Sang-jae on April 21!! I had double eyelid surgery almost 10 years ago, and I think at that time I had ptosis correction, fat removal, front and lateral canthoplasty, and the incisional method. But as time went by, the asymmetry looked too obvious to me, and the height of the lines themselves looked different, so I was pretty stressed. During the lateral canthoplasty, maybe because of the surgical method, if you look at the second photo (the black at the end of the arrow is eyelashes), some mucous membrane tissue? with those eyelashes seemed to have been moved to the end of the outer corner of my eye, so the eyelashes were going in as if poking toward the end of the outer corner and the eyeball. It was not uncomfortable, but people who looked at my eyes up close would say, “Why are your eyelashes here?” and that was so stressful too lol. Also, the scar from the eye incision, which people commonly call a depressed scar, was so sunken that, like in the first photo, when I narrowed my eyes a bit? or when I did not put much strength into opening my eyes, from the side or in photos it looked so much like sausage eyes, and that was stressful too. For my eyes, I had scar removal followed by re-suturing, a slight lateral canthoplasty to remove the eyelashes, and lower canthoplasty. During the consultation, Director Nam fully explained what was stressing me out and how he would operate to improve those stressful parts, and I felt like he listened to me well too. Even when I went into surgery, he kept asking me to open my eyes and carefully checked the line. In my case, the line? when I was lying down and when I was sitting was more different than expected, so he corrected it right away. Because the asymmetry had been so severe before, he matched the lines as much as possible, but for now there is still swelling, so I think I need to wait longer to know accurately! The area where the eyelashes used to be is gone, and although there is a scar from the previous lateral canthoplasty, I need to manage it so it heals well ㅠ And I got lower canthoplasty because I wanted it, and I’m satisfied because it feels a bit softer than before? haha
