I visited after making a consultation appointment and received a consultation.
I only had photos taken, and without having a CT scan, I had a consultation with the director.
I explained the facial shape I wanted, and after examining me, he gave comments.
He said my nasal bridge and nasal tip were sufficiently high, it was my first surgery, and the nose line I wanted could give a neutral image.
Since I had not taken a CT for the chart, he looked directly at my face and said he could see midfacial depression and that my chin was retruded.
At my previous hospital consultation, chin-tip implant was recommended, so I asked whether that would help. He said my face had a retruded chin with an overbite, where the chin is set inward,
and that a chin-tip implant would only have a slight effect and would be too much to do.
Thanks to that, I could understand through analysis what I looked like.
After hearing Director Jeong Yeon-ik, he said that even though I have this good-looking face with a jawline, it was not facial fat, but a retruded chin and overbite where the chin is set inward compared with the face.
When I explained while comparing with photos, he emphasized that people who come very prepared can sometimes be hard to persuade, and asked whether I understood what he meant.
He said I definitely had a retruded chin, so I should look into maxillofacial treatment and orthodontic correction.
He said there would be no problem whichever order I chose between plastic surgery and orthodontic treatment, so I understood clearly.
For the plastic surgery, since it would be my first surgery, he told me not to worry, and since I said I had watched his YouTube, he said we could proceed directly with autologous costal cartilage and also use autologous material for paranasal augmentation.
Consultation complete.
At the beginning of the meeting, diagnosis took 3 minutes, explaining the desired facial shape took 7 minutes, and diagnosis plus what could change through surgery and combining treatment for the retruded chin took 8 minutes.
The consultation was completed in under 20 minutes.
The manager came and told me the cost.

After being diagnosed with a retruded chin, I thought, oh dear, I’m not sure, do I have to do orthodontics too? and I just immediately went into a dental clinic.
I visited Midmi Dental Clinic in the building next door without an appointment and received a consultation.
I immediately had a CT and X-ray taken and looked into orthodontic treatment.

Because I had a retruded chin, they introduced me to a collaborating maxillofacial dental clinic. Same-day consultation was not normally possible, but I could wait, so I visited right away.
It was one block over, so I walked a bit.
I had a consultation at Yang Yoon-dol Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Dental Clinic.
I went without an appointment, so the wait was a bit long, and there were a huge number of people.
When I had the CT scan, the attached facial skeleton came out. Anyway, I had a retruded chin, and the shape of the chin under the temporomandibular joint was unusual, so it was interesting.
And the content Director Jeong Yeon-ik diagnosed without a CT was almost correct. There was midfacial depression, a retruded chin, and a short chin.
After touching it directly and comparing photos, I understood well.
I came straight to the consultation without research and ended up even looking into double-jaw surgery, so it felt really strange,
but once I actually came to the consultation and discussed the plastic surgery diagnosis while looking at the CT with the representative director,
I understood it well.
He said my mandible was positioned under the upper jaw, creating an overbite, so mandibular advancement surgery to move the chin forward surgically was appropriate.
I asked whether the chin could come out a bit with orthodontic treatment alone, and he said moving it beyond what I can currently protrude would be impossible, so surgery
was necessary. He said it seemed like I already knew that when I asked.
Honestly, I had not thought as far as double-jaw surgery, so I had hoped I could see an effect with orthodontic treatment only.
The consultation ended quickly.
After that, I discussed the surgery cost with the manager.

Chin + orthodontic treatment cost is almost 13.3 million KRW haha
I felt that the plastic surgery was becoming a bigger matter, but I liked that it seemed possible if done properly.
I still don’t have information on double-jaw surgery hospitals, so I’ll post another review after another consultation next week.
