Day of surgery - The surgery itself had only slight discomfort and pain and ended quickly. There were many reviews saying it doesn't hurt on the day of surgery, but for me, after the surgery ended and I came out, about 20-30 minutes were hell. After sleeping for a while and waking up, I felt fine and felt my vision had improved to some extent
Day 2 - The pain started to rise. Stinging and pain that was hard to describe appeared. It was tolerable, but since I couldn't see, I couldn't do anything, so time wouldn't pass, and I thought I should just sleep, so I mostly just slept
Day 3 - Pain at its peak. It hurt so much and was so distressing that I used the anesthetic eye drops once, but they didn't work very well. They said using a lot slows recovery, so I didn't use any more and relieved the pain with an ice pack. It didn't hurt when I slept, so I forced myself to keep sleeping. I deeply regretted it and thought I should have just lived wearing contact lenses
Day 4 - The pain decreased significantly. It still stung, but compared with the previous day's pain, it couldn't have been more comfortable. I showered by myself, and they said that once the uncomfortable symptoms ease, vision becomes blurry, and it really did become blurry. Still, I can see better than when my vision was 0.1
Day 5 - My eyes only sting in light, and there is no pain at all. I still can't see that well, but I can go about daily life at home. Used my phone for the first time in a while
My corneas were too thin, so they said I could only have LASEK, so it was an unavoidable choice. If possible, I recommend SMILE LASIK
