I got LASIK before going to the military. Honestly, I don’t know about other people, but aside from having a little glare, daily life is much more comfortable, and I don’t think my dry eyes are that severe. It seems like people only talk about the bad points of LASIK. I don’t know whether it’s the ophthalmologist’s skill or a difference in machines, and these days they recommend things like implantable contact lenses, but I guess I’ll only know when I’m older. I had it done in my 20s, and now that I’m in my 30s, I don’t have any discomfort in daily life.
