Nose Surgery Reviews@rhino-review

Review of nose surgery consultation at ㅇㅂㄹ~

Review of my second consultation today haha My original reservation time was 3 p.m., but I canceled a reservation I had at another place, so I had time open in between. I called 2 days ago and asked if they could possibly move the time earlier, and they said 1:30 p.m. was possible, so I moved it up. Today I went to the first hospital and was killing time, when the second hospital called and asked if there were any schedule changes. I asked if I could have the consultation even earlier, and they said 1 p.m. was possible, so I was able to get the consultation earlier than expected. There were a few people, but the waiting time was about 10 minutes? It was not as long as I expected.

Unlike the first place, this place took a CT scan (the earlier hospital only took photos), and it was definitely good because I could see the condition inside my nose. The director was very kind and explained the consultation in an easy-to-understand way. At the previous hospital, they said to raise the nasal tip with septal cartilage and use ear cartilage if it was insufficient. After touching my nose with his hand, he said my septal cartilage seemed okay, but when I got a CT scan at this hospital, my septal cartilage was really small lolololololololol. I definitely think it helps a lot with making decisions during plastic surgery consultations to get a CT scan at least once.

Because the septal cartilage is small, they said raising the nasal tip with septal cartilage is not possible, so they would raise the nasal tip with ear cartilage and use the septal cartilage in a fixing role so it can stably support the nasal tip. Fortunately, I do not want to raise my nose in a dramatic way, and my goal is to correct the shape naturally, so they said it is okay even though my septal cartilage is small.

This is the kind of thing you really cannot know without taking a CT scan. Today I realized that getting a consultation about how they will perform surgery without accurately knowing the condition inside my nose has no meaning.

CT scan + consultation fee was 10,000 won. (The other hospital I canceled today quoted 25,000 won for the CT scan fee.)

I felt that the director here definitely has his own aesthetic standards for noses. (That does not mean he ignores my opinion.. It was more like, from his perspective, he recommended that it would be better to do this area this way~ㅇㅇ I had not been thinking that much about the columella, but he said it would be good to lower the columella, so I was a little flustered.) If the aesthetic direction you want matches the director’s opinion, I think it would definitely be okayㅇㅇ

They said it is done under sedation + local anesthesia, and the surgery is performed while I stay asleep. I asked if I could possibly wake up in the middle to check the nose shape, and he said that would probably be difficult. Instead, he said it is possible to show me once after everything is sutured and before applying the splint.

I definitely think it is good to visit several hospitals. The first and second places have surgical directions that seem similar but are different, so my thoughts keep changing.

Oh, this hospital only has consultations on Saturdays with no surgeries, and they said they do 2 surgeries each on weekdays!
