I Got Square Jaw Surgery While Having Revision Cheekbone Surgery

Before <before surgery> Before <before surgery> After <after surgery> After <after surgery> After <after surgery> One Percent revision cheekbone surgery (45-degree area only) + long-curve square jaw surgery + cortical bone osteotomy + fat grafting to the forehead and nasolabial folds, 1-month review

About 2 years ago, I had quick cheekbone reduction, and although my side cheekbones got smaller, the 45-degree area did not, so my face still looked broad. And once the side cheekbones were reduced, my jaw area looked broad by comparison, so I decided to get facial contouring surgery!

I went to consultations at many other hospitals too, but other places recommended either 3 types of facial contouring or 2 types consisting only of square jaw surgery and chin tip surgery, so I felt they did not match what I wanted. The last place I visited during my consultations was OPST Plastic Surgery, and they said that if I had revision surgery only on the 45-degree cheekbone area plus long-curve square jaw surgery to reduce the volume of my jaw, the broad look would decrease, so I decided to have surgery there!

From the day of surgery until a little over a week later, it was so hard that I really felt like I did not want to live, because I coughed even when I only drank waterㅠㅠ They told me to hold back coughing because coughing increases pressure in the face, but since I was choking, I really held it in while holding back tears. And with swelling, until day 2 I thought, “Oh, I’m not that swollen?” but from day 3 it swelled rapidly, and I was extremely swollen until week 2, so it was hard to look in the mirror haha... Also, the inside of my mouth swelled a lot, so I had to pay careful attention to gargling and disinfecting when brushing my teeth. In week 3, I overdid it by cutting beef brisket into small pieces and eating it, then felt pain in my jaw muscles and stopped.

After more than a month, I can eat everything except really tough, rubber-like meat! But my mouth still only opens vertically about two fingers wide, so even a cherry tomato does not fit in one bite haha? I need to practice mouth-opening exercises lol

Thank you to Director Im Jong-woo for doing the surgery well, and I’ll see you in my 2-month review~~
