Before<surprisingly, when I had Hiko>After<not long after rhinoplasty>After<I’ll show various angles from not long after>After<after surgery, when I went out to have fun>After<went out to have fun 2>First of all, I only had Hiko done (filler XX) When I looked things up, the reviews and everything made me feel like rhinoplasty would fail. It was always in the back of my mind, but because of time, and the cost too, I just couldn’t get the nerve to do it.
But right after getting Hiko, it was really okay, but as time passed, it felt like the effect was disappearing, and the exact design I wanted just wasn’t coming out, so I felt like this wouldn’t work. So I just blindly searched for clinics and went around for consultations.
I mainly went around clinics famous for nose surgery, booked one I liked, and got bulbous nose correction + hump correction + osteotomy + nasolabial angle correction and columella lowering. It’s been about 9 months now? I think. (I had the actual Hiko removed on the day of surgery while having the operation.)
When I went in for a follow-up before, the director checked everything, and said breathing, sensation, and everything were all fine, and that I should consider almost all of the swelling gone.
My septal cartilage was a bit insufficient so they said donor rib cartilage would also need to be mixed in.. I had a bit of a hump, and if I wanted a slimmer bridge, they said I’d need an osteotomy too (at every clinic). Since it involves shaving bone, I was a bit worried about recovery, but after looking up reviews from people similar to me and often talking through my worries with the consultant in charge, I realized my swelling and bruising went down at about the same speed as people who just had ordinary rhinoplasty..
Since I’d had a procedure done before, I didn’t have a huge aversion to surgery, but it was still something I’d postponed because I was scared, so all kinds of thoughts came up (what if the nose I liked just fine gets weird or lower here, etc.) Honestly, in my head I cursed the clinic a bit too.. Like, just you see if the swelling doesn’t go down.. I’m coming for you.. Stuff like that
So I stopped coming into this community much too... I ended up mostly looking at apps with more positive stories. Forgive this scaredy-cat.
But really, after one month passed, two months passed, three months passed, and time went by like that, the swelling noticeably went down and it became natural. Time really was the answer..
What I want to say in conclusion is, for the recovery period, at least until 6 months, just.. read only good posts ^^.. Don’t worry and suffer while having every possible thought, and for your mental health, it’s best to avoid negative posts that make you think it’s failed for no reason.
I feel like there’s more I could say, but I can’t think of it. If there’s anything else you’re curious about besides what I wrote, you can leave a comment or send me a message. I’ll come in and check when I have time. Bye..
