I had revision surgery using autologous costal cartilage, and the area where the costal cartilage was harvested hurts so much that once I lie down in bed, I know how painful it will be when I get up, so even getting up itself feels scary.. My nose doesn't hurt, but it's blocked with cotton for compression and hemostasis, so I can't sleep properly.. My family watched the surgery process yesterday, and it seems like there were some variables during the surgery. I had it under sedation anesthesia, but I woke up 3-4 times, only recovered for 25 minutes, then went outside and almost collapsed from low blood pressure.. I think I barely made it home because my family came with me. After going through all of that, I'm running a fever and feel like I have body aches At least I also work at a hospital, so I'm calculating the Tylenol dose while taking it and combining it with other medications to get through this… Everyone, hang in there..
