This would be my first rhinoplasty, and I went around looking for places that do surgery without implants. My nose is a typical male hump nose. I haven’t decided yet, but all the places I consulted were kind, so I’m leaving a review. I’m debating between these three places, so if anyone here has had surgery at any of them, I’d be grateful if you could leave a review!
1. Sinnonhyeon ㅊㅇ (consultation fee 10,000 won) Consulting doctor: Director Park ㅇㄱ
Appearance: As soon as I went in, I checked in at the front desk and filled out a chart. The manager was kind. I hadn’t requested a specific doctor, so I was introduced to Director Park. When I went, there were no other clients at all, so it felt very private. It seems like they basically adjust the schedule so you don’t run into other clients.
Consultation with the manager: After filling out the chart, I took front and side photos with the manager, and we had a basic consultation while looking at the photos together. She asked what style I wanted and organized it into the chart. In my case, it was my first consultation and I was nervous, so I just told her I had these complexes. She asked for photos of the nose style I wanted, but I hadn’t brought any. After the consultation, she asked about the price and whether I was looking into other places. When I said I was looking into 3 or 4 places, she said I was doing very well. She was friendly and kind.
Consultation with the doctor: His impression was gentle and neat. He consulted while looking at the chart the manager had written. He checked the inside of my nose with things like a cotton swab and tweezers, touched my nose, and explained various things. He looked in the mirror, touched my nose, and explained in detail while looking at a skull model. He said the surgery would be done using autologous dermis and the septum, and he only explained whether ear cartilage or costal cartilage would be needed, but he did not say he would use them. He additionally recommended fillers for my forehead and chin. Even to me, they do look a bit lacking. Overall, he was kind, and while looking at photos together, he drew how my nose would change, so it was easy to understand. He showed me photos of other patients with noses similar to mine. @ Glabella autologous dermis + hump correction + nasal tip (septum) + I forgot whether there was an incision
2. Nonhyeon ㅇㅍ (consultation fee 10,000 won) Consulting doctor: Director Han ㄷㅎ
Appearance: When I went in, there were two other clients. They probably seemed to be coming out after a procedure or surgery. I filled out the chart and waited about 10 minutes while looking at before/after surgery photos on the TV and before/after photos in the catalog. There were faces I had seen on apps and reviews. The exterior was clean, as expected of a plastic surgery clinic. The sofa was pink muhly-colored.
Consultation with the manager: Here, there was a CT scan, so I first had the CT scan and took front and side photos. In the consultation room, she similarly asked what kind of surgery I wanted, so I similarly said these areas were my complexes, and the manager said silicone would have to go into the glabella. She was basically kind. At the end, she showed me the prices for each surgery and added up the total cost. The consulting manager was also kind.
Consultation with the doctor: His impression was also neat. I guess all the doctors take good care of themselves. I’m not sure whether he looked at the CT, but he didn’t mention it during the consultation. I think he spent most of the consultation time holding up a mirror and looking at my nose. There seems to be a surgical method called a bridge; they were promoting it, so maybe it’s their own procedure method? He said they would use septal cartilage and ear cartilage. Since I was scared of implants, I mentioned autologous dermis for the glabella, and he said autologous dermis has no effect. He said that if the hump and nasal tip are refined, the glabella line would be set, so he recommended either not doing anything there at all or placing the smallest silicone implant to balance it. Regarding silicone, he said they were not putting a time bomb into my nose, so I should think about it carefully. When I asked if I could see review photos, he said not all noses are the same, so I couldn’t see them. @ Organized as incision + nasal tip + hump correction (using ear cartilage) + glabella (silicone if raising it).
3. Sinnonhyeon ㅈㅅㅌ (consultation fee 10,000 won) Consulting doctor: Director Guk ㄱㅎ
Appearance: Clean, as expected of a plastic surgery clinic. There weren’t review photos or anything like that. On the table, perhaps because they have many foreign clients, there were plastic surgery reviews from white clients. There were two clients. I filled out the chart and waited about 10 minutes.
Consultation with the manager: I had a CT scan and took photos from the front, front from above, front from below, both sides, and both oblique angles. I said my complexes were the glabella, hump, and nasal tip, and that my nose was a bit long and large, so I wanted to reduce it somewhat. She wrote what I told her on the chart and delivered it to the doctor. At the final consultation at the end, she likewise confirmed the price for the basic surgery plus additional procedure costs. She asked whether I was going to other places, and unusually, she asked why I wanted surgery. Since reasons vary, it seems she listens and the doctor refers to that when designing the nose. All the consulting managers were kind, but I think she was the kindest. Maybe I felt that way because there was small talk. She asked about my surgery plan and told me when surgery dates were available.
Consultation with the doctor: His impression was soft, and he had the same kind manner as the consulting manager. While looking at the CT, he explained things like the position and thickness of the septum. For the rest, he drew on my face on the monitor and explained together while comparing the drawing with the side view of the CT. He asked whether I wanted a natural nose or a glamorous nose for rhinoplasty. I answered somewhere in between, but still said it was more on the natural side. He started the consultation while checking the inside of my nose with a cotton swab. I liked that he explained things in detail throughout the consultation. While looking at my nose, he reassured me during the consultation, saying it still wasn’t too large and wasn’t too low. The doctor’s glabella was the kind I wanted, so when I said I wanted mine like his glabella, he said his was natural... Anyway, he said that level would use septal cartilage and autologous dermis in the glabella. Because the glabellar skin is thin and might show through, he said they cover it with autologous dermis. For the nose, if it’s implant-free, he said they would make incisions on both sides to reduce the width, use septal cartilage and ear cartilage to raise the nasal tip, and correct the hump. Because we were consulting, I forgot to ask to see review photos. @ Incision + nasal tip (septal cartilage, ear cartilage) + hump correction + glabella (septal cartilage + autologous dermis)
I went around to these three places for consultations, and they were all so kind that there wasn’t one place that pulled me in strongly; I’m drawn to all of them... The explanations for the nasal tip and hump were all similar, but they all explained the glabella part differently, so I think I’ll look through more review photos before making the final decision. If I go around too much, I think it’ll be too hard for me as someone who has trouble deciding, so I’m thinking of going to one more place or just deciding without going to more. If anyone here has had surgery at these clinics, I’d be very grateful if you could share your review! The prices were all similar, so I didn’t write them down!
