Eight months after double-jaw and facial contouring surgery—I’m even happier now that orthodontics are finished haha

It has already been eight months since I underwent double-jaw and facial contouring surgery with Dr. Jong-yoon Kim at [Clinic A]! It feels like only yesterday that I wrote my five-month review, but now orthodontic treatment is finished and I’ve become much more accustomed to my changed appearance haha. I had been stressed about malocclusion since childhood and was told my case would be difficult to improve with orthodontics alone, so after deliberating for a long time I decided on surgery. While researching hospitals, I looked at many real before-and-after photos on YouTube and blogs, and the postoperative results at [Clinic A] matched what I wanted, so I became interested. The consultation also felt professional and systematic, which gave me confidence. The orthodontic clinic I consulted also said that patients who had surgery at [Clinic A] had good results, so I chose it in the end haha. At eight months, I have no particular discomfort and can eat all kinds of food. At five months I was already happy just to be able to eat lettuce wraps comfortably, but now I hardly think about having had surgery when I eat haha. Having my bite aligned makes eating much easier, and I’m still very satisfied with that. Orthodontics are finished too, so having straight teeth makes me even happier!! I liked my changed face after surgery, but seeing the orthodontic treatment completed makes me feel that the things I had worried about for so long have been resolved one by one haha. I thought all the swelling was already gone, but compared with old photos, my facial line is still gradually becoming slimmer. I don’t notice much when looking in the mirror every day, but the difference shows in photos, which is amazing. My face seems more settled than at five months, and I’m more used to my changed appearance when making expressions too haha. People around me say I made the right decision to have surgery, and I’m very satisfied. A friend I met after a long time said I had changed so much they could barely remember my old appearance, but that it hardly looked like I’d had surgery; I still remember that 👍🏻 Now that eight months have passed, I’m happy with being able to eat comfortably, my straighter teeth, and my changed facial shape. It was worth the long deliberation, and I’m grateful to Dr. Jong-yoon Kim! I’m looking forward to seeing how things settle further 😊
