2-Week Rhinoplasty Review

Before<Before 1>Before<Before 2>Before<Before 3>After<After 1>After<After 2>After<After 3>After<After 4>When I was young, my left nostril was torn in an accident inside a car, and after I experienced an accident in the military where my right nostril was torn into three sections, during the wound-healing process the shape and size of both nostrils no longer matched, and the pieces of torn skin healed unevenly in multiple sections. After worrying about it for a long time, I decided to have surgery. Since I was going to have surgery anyway, I also decided to address the nasal bridge and nasal tip, which I had always thought were low, as well as rhinitis surgery.

Through YouTube, various cafes, and apps, I found out about Director Kuk Kyung-hoon at “Just Plastic Surgery” in Gangnam, and I went for a consultation right away!

It was my first time visiting a plastic surgery clinic, so I was nervous and a little embarrassed, but during the consultation with the consultant first, the explanation was so kind and calm. I had already heard that they were good at male noses, but when I heard that many men come these days too, I think I felt a bit more reassured haha After that, I had a CT scan, and during the face-to-face consultation with Director Kuk Kyung-hoon, he explained so many aspects in great detail and very kindly, and walked me through the surgical direction suited to me step by step. Honestly, since it had only been about 3-4 months since I was injured in the military, when he told me that waiting until around winter, after the scar had fully settled, would likely produce a better nasal shape in the long run, I was actually a bit surprised, and it made me feel like he really thought a lot about the patient, so I thought I definitely wanted to have it done here..! Due to my personal circumstances, I needed to have it done right away, so despite his recommendation, I proceeded with the surgery immediately.

Because I wanted the swelling to go down quickly, I walked a lot every day for about an hour and a half to three hours in places like the apartment underground parking lot and around the apartment complex,, haha Sure enough, walking a lot made the swelling go down so much that it was clearly different compared with before walking.

When the splint was first removed in week 1, there was still swelling in my nose, so the nasal bridge area felt pulled and it even felt a bit like I had medial epicanthoplasty. I was also surprised because it was higher than I expected, but I trusted that as the swelling went down, it would gradually return to what we had discussed during the consultation, and after waiting, it became much more natural and better! It has only been 2 weeks since surgery, so I think it will settle even more naturally from now on haha

Since I had rhinitis surgery together, it was completely impossible to breathe through my nose until about 10 days after surgery. It was so stuffy and difficult when eating and sleeping, but it was an unavoidable process..! haha But now all the plastic pieces inside my nose have been removed and I can breathe well, so I’m very happy, and I’m extremely satisfied with the nasal shape, nostril shape, and everything else!! Also, before, I had a complex because it looked like my mouth protruded, but I feel like that protruding look has almost disappeared through the surgery, so I was very happy..

Thank you to the director, consultant, and nurses for all treating me so kindly.
