Each day felt like it was dragging on forever, but finally it became day 6, when I had both the splint and the taping removed.
I’m originally quite sensitive and tend to worry a lot, so from before the removal until after it, and even now, I feel like I’ve been spending every day anxiously worrying whether things are okay like this or whether something might have gone wrong.
I’m writing this review because I thought it might help if I explain what I was worried about and when those issues were resolved.
Day 0 Having my nose blocked with cotton was the hardest part Couldn’t sleep a wink I planned to come back by public transportation, but it hurt too much and was too hard, so I took a taxi During surgery, I also got a swelling injection (I think it was a Power Blue 5 injection) -Almost no bruising or swelling
Day 1 Cotton removed; even after removal, the mucous membrane was swollen so I couldn’t breathe My nostrils also became really enlarged because of the cotton, and the suture area at the closed surgical site was very swollen too Started taking anti-swelling medication (I was going to take the 3 types for swelling, but on the pharmacist’s recommendation, I only took Newvein, Danggwisusan, and the hospital medication) Started walking Nose was extremely upturned Blood had collected in my ear, so it was drained No bruising or swelling
Day 2 Swelling increased a lot Maybe because the blood was drained from my ear, that side was much more swollen and badly bruised Nose came down a little
Day 3 Very swollen Nose continued to come down little by little Nasal congestion resolved Runny nose kept dripping
Day 4 Nose looked like it had fully come down Only swelling and bruising remained around the eyes and front cheeks
Day 5 Splint removal; looked like Avatar About 1 cc of blood was drained because blood had pooled between the eyebrows Compression taping done The bruising that started from the ear spread all over the neck, and the ear was very swollen Nostrils became smaller The nasal tip became like a cherry tomato and bruised
Day 6 Taping removed Nasal swelling went down a lot (the cherry tomato disappeared) However, the sides of the nasal bridge are still swollen, so it looks flat
After removing the taping, I saw needle marks, so to disinfect them, I applied iodine, then disinfected with 70% ethanol used as hand sanitizer, then applied iodine again and Fucidin.
I keep worrying about having used 70% ethanol hand sanitizer for disinfection I think it should be okay, but it throbs and hurts...
That’s my review up to today!!! I hope it helps...
