The previous clinic's schedule got messed up too, and for various reasons I was annoyed and regretted wondering if I had booked this clinic for nothing. Right before surgery, I was so nervous that I thought, why am I here, why am I doing this? Then the doctor came in and had me close my eyes and open them. As the anesthetic went in, everything in front of my eyes started spinning. The music sounded so loud, like someone was singing right into my ears. There was a constant smell of burning flesh.
I was someone who used my forehead to open my eyes, but after the surgery, my eyes opened wide using my eyelid muscles. It’s a whole new world. So this is how everyone has been living.
There’s less bruising and swelling than I expected, so that part is pretty comfortable.
