I’ll share my review of consultations for my first eye surgery!
For now, I ended up putting down a deposit and scheduling a date at ㄷㄹㅅ, and I’m still debating while continuing to look up reviews in this community
Current eye condition: - Inner double eyelids (when I open my eyes, they look almost like monolids; when I open them with effort, my eyelashes curl inward a little) - The inner corners are already opened - My horizontal eye length is on the longer side - When I open my eyes without using force, about 1/3 of my pupils are covered by my eyelids. As I’ve gotten older, I’ve gradually developed a habit of opening my eyes with my forehead.
What I want to improve / what I want through eye surgery: - I don’t want a major change from my current eye shape and image. I want double eyelids that are only slightly more defined than now (thinking of an inline or in-out line) - Improve the habit of opening my eyes with my forehead. I hope my eye-opening strength improves a bit. - Since I’m an office worker and can’t take a long vacation, I’d like non-incisional surgery if possible, because the recovery period is shorter.
(1) ㅌㅇㅅ(ㅣㅔㅡ) - No designated director; Director ㄱㅁㄱ came in during the consultation - No consultation fee - There were many patients, but the waiting time was shorter than expected. - Recommended incisional ptosis correction. I remember it was 1.98 million won including VAT/anesthesia. - Both the consultant and the director were extremely kind and detailed during the consultation. But the director looked closely at my eyes and asked what I most wanted to improve (I said improving opening my eyes with my forehead), and then firmly said incision; it seemed like he wasn’t considering non-incisional surgery at all Even with incision, he confidently said he could do it without severe swelling or bruising.. But since it’s my first surgery, incision feels a bit scary and burdensome, and I don’t think my ptosis is that severe, so I wondered whether I really needed to go as far as incision. It was also a bit different from the direction I originally had in mind, so I decided to put it on hold for now. The consultant didn’t pressure me at all to put down a deposit or book the same day, and told me to think comfortably and contact them. I did trust the director’s confidence and pride in his skills a lot, so I thought that if the other clinics also only talked about incision, I should book at ㅌㅇㅅ.
(2) ㄷㄹㅅ(ㅡㅔㅡ) - For eye surgery, there is only Director ㅎㅅㅈ. - No consultation fee - There was a bit of waiting time (around 30 minutes?). There were quite a lot of patients at the clinic and the music was loud, so the atmosphere felt a bit chaotic The facilities didn’t feel very modern either. - Natural adhesion + non-incisional ptosis correction. They said upper canthoplasty was optional, but after looking at my eye shape, they didn’t specifically recommend it. About 980,000 won including VAT/anesthesia. - The consultation with the consultant was just average, but I liked the director’s consultation! He seemed like a calm and quiet type, so I can see how people might be divided on him, but I actually felt trust because he pointed out only the necessary parts. He also explained things in detail, and even without me asking first, he made and showed me several different lines. Later I asked if he could show me again the line I liked, and he kindly made it again! He pressed down on my forehead and eyebrows and checked the degree of ptosis in detail too, and said that if I only wanted a natural change with my eye condition, natural adhesion + non-incisional ptosis correction would be enough, which I liked Since I had just heard at the first place that incision was the only option... The consultant did suggest putting down a deposit before leaving, but it didn’t feel forced, and when I said it felt a bit much to put down a deposit right away because I still had another consultation afterward, she said to go to all of them and contact them if I was interested In the end, as soon as the third consultation ended, I went back and booked...
(3) ㅅㅅ(ㅣㅓㄴ) - Single-doctor clinic - No consultation fee - Compared with clinics 1 and 2, there were clearly fewer waiting patients. Almost no waiting time. - Natural adhesion. Total estimate was 880,000 won. - Since it was a single-doctor clinic, this was the clinic I had the highest expectations for before going to the consultation. But personally, the consultation was not really... Since this is a matter of personal preference and feeling, please keep in mind this is just my very personal impression! Both the consultant and director consultations were really short (I don’t think everything combined took even 15 minutes), and the director’s consultation felt like it ended in a real rush, roughly and quickly I’m not sure whether he was especially busy that day or whether that’s just his usual style When he heard why I started considering eye surgery (opening my eyes with my forehead), he was like, then incision is the only answer - if you want non-incisional, I can do it, but of course the effect is weaker than incision, so the patient should decide on their own~~ That kind of feeling Somehow I lost motivation too, so I don’t think I asked many questions and just came out
As I said above, I ended up booking at ㄷㄹㅅ and am now just waiting for the surgery date, but the more I look up reviews in this community, the more the opinions seem kind of divided...? It’s my first surgery, so I need to decide well Since plastic surgery varies so much from person to person and case to case, I wonder if I should just trust my decision and go with it.. I’m going to think hard for just a few more days!
