Nose Surgery Reviews@rhino-review

It’s day 1 for me as a nose-surgery newbie

Since they were opening my nose for septum and inferior turbinate surgery, I figured I might as well, so I had the nasal tip done too at an ENT clinic. Hump nose, saddle nose, arrow nose

For filling the saddle nose, they said they would use septal cartilage, and if there wasn’t enough they might harvest ear cartilage too, so they had even taped the ear area, but they said the septal cartilage was enough, so they didn’t open the ear.

I remembered that at a plastic surgery clinic I went to before, they recommended osteotomy or shaving, silicone from below the glabella, and raising the columellar angle at the nasal tip to what felt like an excessive degree. They said revision surgery might be different, but for a first surgery there was no chance of getting a pig nose or upturned nose, and that it would naturally droop over time. So at the pre-op consultation I said I wanted to raise the nasal tip angle too, but the doctor said that would make it an upturned nose, and that it is already around 90 to 95 degrees now so it’s enough, and they would just shape it with dissolvable sutures? Since I said I didn’t want osteotomy, maybe this is right...

Anyway, other than having a headache when I woke up and sleeping another hour or two, I don’t think I have pain. I think bleeding only lasted until around 6 p.m. Actually, the person putting in the IV couldn’t find a vein and wandered around for about 10 minutes before placing it in my hand, and that hurt more and worried me more...

An acquaintance who had surgery and is doing well even came with me in person, and my main purpose is improving breathing rather than aesthetics, so I think I chose the hospital well. But I wonder if I was too passive during the process, and that’s the one thing I regret. On the other hand, I also feel like it was good that I didn’t drag it out and just went for it this time.

In any case, it’s already done, so I should take good care of it and get through recovery, right? Haha It’s only day 1, but for some reason I feel excited.
