While looking into facelifts, I really searched through so many surgery reviews. Before getting surgery for the first time, I started by gathering all the information I could about facelifts and doing research online. Since it definitely isn’t a surgery with that many reviews, I kept seeing only the same clinics, so I felt anxious, and whenever clinics I had never heard of in my life were mentioned, I kept wondering whether there might be an issue with their skills.
Using information I got from cafes, other communities, apps, YouTube, and so on, I booked consultations at 5 clinics and went through with them. Honestly, people around me told me a lot to visit several places, but my lazy personality played a part. In the end, though, it was a good choice.
The first clinic I went to was one that had quite a lot of information about lifting on cafes and YouTube. That’s also why it was the first place I visited, but after actually going there, the consultation felt a bit disappointing, and I felt like there were many parts steering me toward a mini lift. During the consultation, when I looked at their surgery reviews, it didn’t seem like a clinic that paid close attention all the way to facelift dissection. So I just had the consultation and moved on, then went straight to the next clinic consultation.
At the next clinic, there were too many surgeries they said I had to do together, so the cost increased astronomically. It felt like I was getting double-jaw surgery, should I say… I was a bit surprised because they talked about improving my jaw and other areas too. After that, I ended up making contact with the third clinic. It was an older clinic, and in the middle of Gangnam, among so many plastic surgery clinics, it had been a really long time since I’d seen a non-large-scale, private clinic with so many people. During the consultation, the questions I had were answered, and they also caught things I hadn’t even thought of, so I think I was drawn to it. The doctor’s consultation also felt full of confidence, so from the patient’s perspective it was easy to decide.
After surgery, there definitely was some pain. On the first day after surgery, I went to the clinic, received bruise care and swelling care, and rested well. Honestly, once the compression bandage is removed, it becomes bearable. Since I had to go to the clinic in the morning for 3 days, honestly the tiredness was the bigger part. I couldn’t eat properly either.. The hardest part was eating only a little soft bread and porridge.
On the first day after surgery, I thought so many times, if I had known it would be this hard, I would have only thought about it. But looking at my face now, I strongly feel that I did the right thing. The face is an area that changes as time passes, but the satisfaction I got after surgery was really big. I think a facelift itself is a somewhat minor plastic surgery. I felt this while looking for information, but going around in person is the best, and if you gather information before going and understand at least the general process before getting consultations, I think you’ll have good results.
