There Isn’t Much Difference Before and After Surgery…

Before <front> Before <side> Before <right side> Before <left side> I had surgery with that famous director at that famous clinic. Honestly, I’m too lazy to do much clinic-hopping, and almost everyone around me does it there, so I had a consultation and booked the date right away. My dream nose was definitely a glamorous, elegant, high nasal tip with a straight-to-slightly-curved profile, and that place is famous for noses like that. (Between Director Kim and Director Ahn, I heard Director Ahn is good at glamorous noses, so I chose Director Ahn..) I had a severe hump and a bulbous, jar-like nose. It was honestly an ugly nose, and the nasal tip was also very low. For people with a severe hump, the side profile is important, but the smoothness as it descends from the front and the slimness are really important too But I was looking at my pre-op photos to write a review for a level-up and was shocked. The side profile is pretty (honestly, even that is missing 2%), but the front looks exactly the same From the consultation, I asked them to raise the nasal tip as much as possible. Fine, if this is the maximum possible with my nose, I’ll accept it. But if they shaved down the hump, weren’t they supposed to shave the sides of the nose too..? Because of the side nasal bones that make it look like a jar, my nose looks bulky and the nasal tip doesn’t look pretty, but I feel like none of that was fixed. Hump osteotomy was definitely included in the surgery fee That part is so disappointing. So for now I’m thinking about revision surgery, but I’m going to get consultations to see whether I should just shave the bone.. This director is also famous for facial contouring, so people say he’s good at shaving bone, which means.. he probably didn’t shave the sides of my nose.. I guess when I had surgery, I only showed the side profile too much and only explained the side profile.. Everyone, when you get surgery, I really think clinic-hopping is important You really have to be persistent during consultations too I think it’s really important to explain in detail exactly what you want. Sigh
