7.5 Review of Epicanthoplasty + Incisional Double Eyelid Surgery

Those who had monolids before and after will relate, but my eyes were the type where no matter how much I curled my eyelashes, they would go back in less than a minute. Now, for starters, my eyelashes are visible even without using an eyelash curler. Right after surgery, since the eye shape changes once the swelling goes down, the first thing I noticed was my eyelashes. And the second thing I liked was that I didn’t bruise. I didn’t do warm compressesㅎㅎ You’re supposed to do cold compresses for 2-3 days and then warm compresses, but I really had almost no bruising, so I didn’t feel the need to. (I tried not to tense my eyes too much during surgery, and I think that helped too.) Also, during the surgery, Director Lee Wabaek praised me a lot whenever I turned my head properly, saying I did well, so I remember being able to relax more easily. It’s been about a month now, and many people around me said it does look like I had surgery, but not to the point where I need to cover it up. A lot of people also said they can’t remember what my original eyes looked like (they said it seems to have turned out natural!) I still haven’t done eye makeup, so my eyes look kind of round, but I think I can cover that with makeup. (I wore a hat until mid-July, but now it’s hot, so I’m just going around without oneㅠㅠ) And because I had epicanthoplasty, there’s some redness at the inner corners, so I’ll let you know later in a review whether it goes away!
