My nose has a high nasal bridge and no hump. The side profile is so-so, but from the front my bulbous nose is severe. My skin is super thick, so it is a fleshy, round bulbous nose, and it is not small either, it is big For choosing clinics, I referred a lot to Naver cafes, and since I live outside Seoul, I could only go to 3 places.. I am writing this in case it helps people doing online research!! For reference, the nose I want is a straight-to-slightly-curved line like Minji or Go Youn-jung, a bit masculine?.. 1. ㅌㅇㅅ First, the waiting time here was too long. I guess it was because it was peak season. The order was CT scan, consultation with the director, then consultation with the consultant. The director was quite young and clearly pointed out exactly what my nose needs right now. But they did not take separate face photos, so that was disappointing As I said above, when I said I wanted a straight-to-slightly-curved line, they recommended autologous costal cartilage. They said my nasal bridge is already high, so the surgery should focus on the nasal tip. To be honest, I was not especially drawn to this place, and how should I put it, it felt too formal? I am not saying this clinic is like that.. but the routine itself felt like a factory-type clinic, so I passed right away. The consultant was pretty and kind. The estimate was around the mid-4 million won range, the cheapest.
2. ㅂㄷㄴ This was the place I had high expectations for and had somewhat made up my mind about before the consultation. The clinic atmosphere was very clean, cozy, and nice. Here, after taking CT and face photos, I went straight into the director consultation. The director speaks ve~ry calmly. But the style is to say everything that needs to be said. Here too, they said it would be better to use autologous costal cartilage, and maybe because the doctor is an otolaryngology specialist? they noticed I have rhinitis and also recommended rhinitis surgery together. What I liked was that they showed me photos of other cases like my nose and postoperative photos of other patients with the shape I wanted, and compared them for me. But it felt like they only answered if I asked, and I had to keep the conversation going. Also, suddenly they said my chin was lacking, that it was too short, and talked as if surgery would be good, so I was like, what?.. haha Maybe my chin really was that strange, or maybe I just did not know~…;; Anyway, the estimate was in the high-4 million won range, assuming I would get actual-expense insurance coverage for rhinitis surgery.
3. ㅁㅇㄷㅇ Here too, like ㅂㄷㄴ, they took CT and face photos and then I went straight into the director consultation. First of all, among the places I visited, this consultation took the longest. They really pinpointed everything exactly, and when I asked questions, they explained everything clearly and in an easy-to-understand way. At first, they did not recommend autologous costal cartilage, but when I said I wanted a more dramatic nose, they said then let us do it with autologous costal cartilage. This director is very honest. When something cannot be done, they say it cannot; when it can, they say it can. During the consultation, I felt like, ah.. this is the person!! Right, but other places said I did not need alar reduction, while only this place recommended it! But I am planning not to do that.. I liked that they assessed my nose objectively and I could feel their confidence. Also, I had not thought my nose was slightly upturned, but they caught that and suggested lowering the columella a bit. But when I came home and looked, it really did seem a bit like an upturned nose? I asked truly every~thing I wanted to ask, and then had the consultant consultation. The consultant was so straightforward and probably has a personality that matches well with the director I also liked that they had strong confidence in the clinic's safety. In fact, they have as many as 4 anesthesiologists on site.. So I made up my mind to go here and booked on the same day. Since I am doing a lot, including nasal bridge silicone, autologous costal cartilage, alar reduction, bulbous nose correction, columella lengthening, and so on, the estimate came out in the 6 million won range. I was really shocked.. The consultant also said it was a lot for a first surgery.
This is my review of consultations for nose surgery!! To be honest, even until yesterday I wondered if I had chosen this place for no reason, and after looking at review photos I felt like they were not that good, so I was depressed and thought about cancelling. But after thinking it through step by step again, it seemed okay So I am getting nose surgery in early January! Please wish me luck..
