Eyes + revision rhinoplasty
Nose: From the start, the goal for my nose was silicone removal, so I asked for removal + for it to be made as natural as possible according to the doctor’s eye. (The silicone was covering the area where the hump had been shaved down, so it was the thinnest type.) Eyes: My eyes were uneven, so I was going to match the lines, but I decided on the line the doctor said looked prettier. It was originally an outline crease, but the space between my eyes and eyebrows + my glabella area are on the narrow side, so it looked stuffy, and I changed it to an in-out line.
*Day of surgery: I had my eyes done under local anesthesia and my nose surgery under sedation. I barely felt any pain, and when they did the local anesthesia I felt extremely good and even hallucinated. It was a strange experience.. I was cold, so I had surgery with a warm water bottle on my stomach. Both arms and both legs were tied down, so it was so uncomfortable during the local anesthesia. After it ended, I lay in the recovery room, then went back to the director’s room and talked while looking at photos from right after surgery. I really liked the photos. But they said the medication to prevent discharge might make me a bit nauseous, and I struggled all day because I felt queasy like I was carsick. Even though I rested as much as possible before leaving, I was dizzy. If possible, I hope you go with a guardian.
+1 day The next afternoon, I went to have the nasal packing removed. I thought they would only remove the packing, but they also did a swelling laser treatment and I saw the director once more. While showing me the post-op photos, they told me various things, like how much more change there would be from here and around when most of the swelling would go down. The swelling got worse than the day of surgery, so my face became like a steamed bun. My mom laughed and said I looked like that movie with the blue people. (She meant Avatar haha)
+2 days My nose was running like crazy. I already have non-allergic rhinitis, so it ran even more when I ate. I was wiping it with sterile cotton swabs, and when I looked closely, there was a white thread sticking out from inside on the side where the nasal stitches were. I searched online and it seemed like dissolvable thread used to stitch the inside. Just in case, I asked via chat, and they said it was dissolvable thread so it was fine. The swelling was better than the day before, but it was still very puffy, and my philtrum was so swollen that I laughed every time I looked in the mirror.
+3 days The swelling moved downward, so my cheeks became extremely puffy. Until the day before, I had been worried because my philtrum looked too long and my nose looked upturned, but as the swelling went down, my nostrils showed a bit less, so I felt relieved. Washed my hair (thanks, Mom)
+4 days Bruising started to show under my eyes and nose. Most of the major swelling had moved down to my lower cheeks, so I looked like a bulldog. My nose still looked upturned. Started warm compresses!
+5 days My runny nose got better, so I was able to breathe through my nose. The eye swelling went down a lot, but my philtrum + both cheeks were still swollen. I got brave and made kimchi fried rice. My nose exploded with mucus. I hope you do not get brave.
+6 days My nose was barely running. As the eye swelling went down, the symmetry started to match. I do not know why, but bruising remained only on the right side, so I did warm compresses.
+7 days The day to remove the splint + stitches! My face was still swollen and tight, and bruising remained, but it had gone down a lot. Removed the splint, took out the stitches, and met the doctor!
*Conclusion* The surgery turned out insanely well. I do not use the word “insanely” much, but I thought when else would I use it if not now, so I wrote it. It really turned out well. The lines came out nicely, and once all the swelling goes down, I feel like I will hit my peak after turning thirty. Before surgery, even when my face was completely bare, my features were so strong that people asked if I was half Russian, and my face had a masculine look, but now I finally have the cute impression I wanted ㅠㅠㅜㅜㅠㅠㅜㅜ There is still a lot of swelling left, so I am not uploading photos. I will upload them when the swelling goes down a bit more.
I was one of the people who were suspicious because the reviews for ㅇㅂㄹ were so good, but after doing it, I get it. The doctor is really delicate and reads faces well. I did not even know my nose was crooked, but he mentioned it first and subtly rotated it back. Also, after surgery he said it would probably be easier for me to breathe, and for real, breathing became easier than before. I had rhinitis, but the inside of my nose was only slightly deviated, so I was a bit scared to go as far as functional surgery and just gave up and lived with it. But I saved money. Even though the inside of my nose is still swollen, seeing that it is easier to breathe than before, I do not know what kind of magic he worked, but even my rhinitis improved.
Anyway, that is how it is. If anyone is curious about ㅇㅂㄹ, ask me questions. I am not a broker… I am someone who got my stitches removed at 10 a.m. today.
