Around 2014, I had surgery at an ophthalmology clinic near Sinnonhyeon Station that said they used the newest machine. My eyesight was very bad, so other places said surgery wasn’t possible or told me to get lens implantation, but here they said LASEK was possible.
Glare? It feels like I have it, but also maybe not. Light spreading looked worse when I wore glasses, if anything.
The surgery time for both eyes together was about 10 minutes, I think. I was extremely nervous, but I just stared at the light and it was over. For 3 days, my eyes hurt like soapy water had gotten into them. I woke up several times while sleeping because it hurt so much. After 3 days, it didn’t hurt, and it felt like a whole new world.
It’s been 10 years, and I still haven’t had any particular problems. Very occasionally, I wake up while sleeping because my eyes feel stinging or cold, but I don’t know if that’s because of LASEK.
