<Columellar necrosis (3 years ago)><Right before the recent surgery><Right before the recent surgery><Current><Current><Current>I went in for my one-month checkup last week, but I was still anxious, so I went back for another checkup today. The doctor is frustrating too... I wish he would tell me that I can relax a bit now... but every time I go, he just keeps saying we need to keep watching it closely. I mean... even when my first surgery failed after using mesh, the shape looked okay for the first month or two, and I thought everything was fine.
They had really emphasized that the skin grafts on my columella and nasal bridge could tear during this surgery, but thankfully they seem to be okay, and the pinched nose and saddle nose seem to have improved somewhat for now. I thought the nasal tip would come down a little more, but I guess I’ll have to keep watching it. As for the scar, honestly, it feels darker to me than before surgery but when I asked, they said it would return to its previous color. My skin is a mess too
Anyway, I’ll post brief updates from time to time.
I hope everyone looking into surgery has a good outcome. And I hope everyone here who is struggling even more than I am recovers well and gets through it.
