At first, I really liked my first surgery, but at some point I started feeling like my nasal tip was lifting up, and my nose started looking crooked again, so I had revision surgery last month..
Autologous rib cartilage + silicone implant replacement (they said the existing silicone had been inserted crookedly) + lowering the columella and nostril rims (so the nostrils show less). Everywhere I went, they said it had to be done with autologous rib cartilage, and because that,, middle support? was crooked, I had functional nose surgery + cosmetic nose surgery, including septoplasty and the 3 types of rhinitis surgery..
I'm on day 39 now.. Maybe I underestimated it because my first surgery had so little swelling and was so easy.. The pain was bad too, but as time passes I'm starting to forget the pain, but to call this swelling really seems unbelievable...
They said it was replaced with the same silicone and the starting point is similar too, so shouldn't only the alar area have changed..? My nasal bridge has changed so much... It's gotten so wide and thick. They said the bone on the right side of the nasal bridge was protruding more, so they shaved it down, but compared to before, it looks even more prominent and wider.. The doctor said the surgery went well without any issues, but at my one-month follow-up he seemed a bit flustered, and said it probably needs to soften up, told me to massage diligently, prescribed contracture medication for a month, and said we'll talk after seeing the two-month progress
I like the side profile line, but other than that everything is a problem. Even if I let the alar area slide, the nasal bridge on both sides of my nose looks like that... They say I should wait 3 months, 6 months, but with the nose shape itself like this, will waiting really be the answer.. Has anyone had their nose change like this because of swelling after surgery? If it goes back to being slim like my old nasal bridge, I can wait, but I'm so worried about what went wrong for it to end up like this,,
