8 years ago, not knowing any better, I got double eyelid surgery with an incisional method in the provinces. My eyes could have been done with the buried method, but the doctor said incisional was necessary so it wouldn’t loosen, and insisted I had to do incisional.
It was a small clinic, and in the end one side loosened even though it was incisional. The cut mark is still there..
So about 3 years ago, I had revision surgery in Seoul. Since one eye had already been done with an incision, the revision had to be incisional too.
Now nothing is loosening, but because of the scar, when I close my eyes, anyone can tell I had surgery. I guess there’s nothing you can do about incisional surgery.
My conclusion is that for eyes, it seems best to do buried method or natural adhesion instead of incisional as much as possible. And don’t do epicanthoplasty unless you really have to.. natural looks are best these days anyway. The eye surgery I had is one of the cosmetic procedures I regret the most in my life.
