But after finding out that ptosis correction surgery is more dangerous than I thought, I went to two ophthalmology clinics for ptosis exams, and they said I did not have medical ptosis. And at the ophthalmology clinic, they specifically said, 'Medically, it is not ptosis, but because the eyelids are droopy, plastic surgery clinics would say these are eyes with ptosis and recommend ptosis correction.' I also have asymmetry from facial paralysis, so I went to Apgujeong ㅇㅇ1, which is said to specialize in that, and they only recommended incisional double eyelid surgery and said my eyes did not need ptosis correction. They explained in detail that I do not have ptosis and why I do not need ptosis correction. They also answered all my questions, and I actually trusted them much more than large hospitals, which was good. This clinic is not a good fit if you do not really have a specific preference and just want to go in and be recommended what would make you look pretty. I was worried because people said the front desk staff were rude, but they were very kind, and because their faces looked natural and not like overdone plastic surgery, I trusted them even more. The estimate was, as expected, surprisingly expensive, but if it can be done safely and well, it is not a waste of money.
