1. Reason for revision surgery 10 years ago, I raised my nose with dermis + osteotomy + ear cartilage. (I’m a huge scaredy-cat, so I didn’t use silicone because I was afraid of side effects.) After 10 years, the nasal tip eventually drooped and became blunt, making it look even more like a bulbous nose.
2. Choosing the clinic I went through an acquaintance’s referral, but since it’s revision surgery, I know a thing or two too, right? Things I considered: - Choosing based on the director rather than the size of the clinic Big clinics have everyone from very experienced doctors to less experienced ones, so I didn’t consider the clinic name at all. And the bigger the clinic, the more reviews there are, so I didn’t obsess over the number of reviews. I chose based only on the director. - Specializes in revision surgery Doctors known for specializing in revision surgery seemed confident in surgery. They also had a lot of experience. So I only looked at places specializing in revision surgery. - Consultation content I looked at how detailed the consultation was, and whether they had the sense to recommend a balanced option between the nose I wanted and what was possible with my current nose.
3. Surgery review I’m extremely scared, so I went into surgery trembling a little, but the director calmly helped me settle down, and the surgery ended well. The clinic managers were also kind and listened well whenever I had concerns. It’s day 6, and except for a bit of runny nose, I’m very satisfied!! From the side, I love my nasal bridge so much, hoo ㅠ They said I have a delicate, small-featured look, so a high nasal bridge wouldn’t suit me, so I did it without an implant. Since I was concerned about my bulbous nose, they also reduced the bulbous nasal tip. They said my nasal bridge was originally crooked, so they would straighten it. They also told me my right nostril was a bit bigger... I didn’t know ^_^ They recommended bringing down the columella, so my nose didn’t become upturned and the nasal tip was raised beautifully too, so I’m so happy hehe Because my nostrils are small and the cotton packing hurt me too much, they removed it on day 2. (Removing the cotton packing didn’t hurt at all, and the feeling was very strange.) Right now, except for a bit of runny nose, it doesn’t hurt at all. Next Monday, I’ll have the stitches removed, and they said we should remove the stitches on the bulbous-nose area a bit later. I’m so, so grateful to the director... They’re this skilled, but there aren’t many reviews, which makes me sad.
