I went around to several clinics today because I’m planning to get revision rhinoplasty, and every single one said they would use autologous costal cartilage for the nasal tip. But for the bridge, opinions were split into three: one doctor said to use silicone, another said to use autologous dermis from the buttocks or remove silicone completely, and another said to use autologous costal cartilage.
With these three options, which material would be the safest while still giving a good shape? ㅜㅜ For reference, for my first nose surgery, I had silicone and septal cartilage used, and for my second one, I had silicone and autologous costal cartilage used!!! Also, during the second surgery, one clinic said it seemed like inflammation had built up in the bridge, so I recently took about a week’s worth of medication, and now there’s nothing abnormal at all. So this time, I really want to use a safe material for the bridge. They say buttock dermis has a high absorption rate.. and they say autologous costal cartilage makes the shape look too obvious.. I’m thinking of this nose surgery as my last one, so regardless of the cost, I really want to do it at a clinic that’s truly good ㅠㅠ Clinic recommendations would be great too, and everyone who can recommend materials is more than welcome ~ Please leave comments!!!
