Review on Day 5 After Complete Removal

Natural nose vs surgical nose vs day 5 after complete removal

Removal purpose: first pain at the end of August (foreign-body sensation, pulling tenderness, headache) + anxiety I went to 5 consultations, and all of them said there was no inflammation and the shape looked fine, so I should keep it a bit longer. (I received a similar opinion from a university hospital plastic surgery department as well.)

Nose condition: 1. There is a small area on the nasal bridge that looks purple. 2. Foreign-body sensation from the septal support at the nasal tip, columellar drooping, pigmentation at the tip of the columella 3. It felt like the end of the silicone and the nasal tip were separated by a clear boundary. 4. After taking antibiotics, the pain improved by 50%, so I suspect it may have been inflammation.

Surgery requests. I wasn’t obsessed with going back to my natural nose. How could it ever go back exactlyㅠㅠㅜ I even said I was okay with my nostrils becoming uneven after the first surgery. As long as my function wasn’t damaged and my nose didn’t turn up, I went into the consultation having accepted that I would live with a third version of my nose.

Removal surgery My surgery was scheduled for 10:30, but after preparation, I was anesthetized around 10:50.. When I opened my eyes it was 1:30, and after recovering sufficiently in the recovery room, I heard the removal results from the director and went home.

I had the 4 mm silicone, septal extension, and support completely removed, the capsule removed, and cartilage repositioning done. (No tying) After removal, my nose had been rasped, so the nasal bone had sunken into an M shape. After trimming it, they even showed me the shape change. They said my alar cartilage had severe adhesions and had become deformed. The left side was pressing on the right side and had moved upward, to the point that the left alar cartilage came all the way to the center of the nose. After releasing the adhesions and repositioning the alar cartilage, they slightly trimmed only the protruding cartilage end on the side that had been raised.

Nose shape immediately after surgery It’s not simply the concept of the nasal bridge becoming lower. The nasal bridge is shaped like ()ㅠ You can think of it as a square showing on the bridge. The nasal tip became lower, but the shape is 90% like the surgical nose. My natural nose was one where the nostrils didn’t show and the columella was plump, so I wish it would come down a bit more, but the director says it will come down once the swelling goes down.

★★Progress★★ Day of surgery No pain, almost no bleeding, changed the gauze twice Bruising started to come up little by little, then from the evening there was intense bruising and swelling

Day 1 The bruising and swelling were really severe (The capsule was thin, so removal may have put strain on the area, and the bone was trimmed too, so that seems to have caused bruising.) They did tell me I would bruise a lot, but the swelling was also so severe that I went in for a visit, had treatment and disinfection, and a swelling laser treatment, and because I was so worried, they removed blood with a syringe. Having the blood removed didn’t hurt at all.

Days 2-4 After having the blood removed, the swelling and bruising improved a lot. The blood did not fill back up. The bruises are becoming lighter in color and moving down toward the cheeks. But from day 2, both sides have been completely blocked, so I’m breathing half through my nose and half through my mouth. Thick nasal mucus is forming inside my nose. I think it’s because the nasal mucous membrane is swollen. For pain, the middle of the nasal bridge throbs, and the nasal tip has started to feel tight.

Day 5 My nose is still blocked (feels like there are boogers), and thick nasal mucus is flowing out. There is still some subtle tightness and throbbing pain.

I’m still recovering, and the stitches haven’t even been removed yet... Honestly, reviews like one week after removal don’t really mean much. My nose isn’t as pretty as the noses in reviews here, and I still look like Avatar with bruises attached ㅋㅋㅋㅋ They say after going through the contraction period, the nose after 1-2 months is the real nose.

Ps. Please, as long as it doesn’t turn up and just stays like this, I’ll bow toward Apgujeong Exit 4!!!
