Nose Re-Surgery@rhino-redo

I had the silicone, Medpor, and ear cartilage removed, and got the stitches taken out today

Ever since I had nose surgery (10 years ago) cartilage had been sticking out inside my nostril, and starting 2 years ago, depending on my facial expression, the inside of my nostril, the nasal septum? I’m not sure if that’s right, that area would sometimes feel really tight and painful.

After finding out this August that I had Medpor inside my nose, I was scared it might make a hole in my nose, so I decided on nose implant removal, had consultations at two places, ㅅㅅㅇ and ㄱㅇㅅ, and booked the surgery.

Right after booking the surgery, a lot came up, so I pushed the date back a bit, and from then on, with the depressing thought that I’d soon be going back to my original nose, I started looking in the mirror more often, and my nose with the silicone suddenly looked so, so, so pretty.. lol

It’s been a week since surgery now, and the nasal tip has gotten lower, but so far my overall image hasn’t changed much.

The swelling is definitely less than when I had my nose augmented, and the pain on the day of surgery was bearable, but my nose hurt so freaking muchㅜㅜ I didn’t do cold compresses at all because it was a hassle, and just made sure to apply the ointment and take my medication.

With the nose, I really think they only know the exact condition once they open it up. If I had waited any longer, the Medpor probably would have broken through. At the post-op consultation, I was told that the Medpor had been attached to the nasal mucous membrane, and that the cartilage damage was also severe.

I feel so relieved after removing everything from my nose. I also got a lot of help from reading posts here, so I wanted to leave a review too lololol
