Review after 3 years since LASEK and 2-Day LASEK

It’s already been 3 years!

I didn’t get both LASEK and 2-Day LASEK on both eyes; they said 2-Day LASEK wasn’t possible for my left eye because I have severe astigmatism. In the end, each eye was done with a different method!

During the exam, I did have to line up. But I chose this place because the surgery itself wasn’t like a factory where everyone lines up, goes in, and comes out.

My eyes were so sensitive to sunlight that on very sunny days I used to hide behind my friend’s back while going to and from school. They said the reason was that my pupils are larger than other people’s, and if they had been just a little bigger, I wouldn’t have been able to have the surgery. ㅠㅠ

After hearing that, I was worried about postoperative glare/halos, so I asked about it. They told me that glare would occur and strongly advised me to think it over carefully.

The glare/halos I was most worried about were already severe to begin with, so I didn’t really feel like they got worse..? For dry eyes, I lived with artificial tears for about 1 year after surgery, but now I’m okay. Other side effects? Downsides are: 1. If the room is dry, I get eye discharge the next day. 2. If I’m not feeling well, my eyes get very dry.

Other than that, there’s nothing! I’m satisfied in my 3rd year!
