1. Reason for Choosing the Clinic Since I’m an office worker, I wanted something that would allow me to recover as quickly as possible. Among the options, I learned about the closed surgical method, and I chose a clinic that clearly improves a “bulbous nose” among closed-approach procedures.
2. Reason for Revision Surgery In my early 20s, when I knew nothing, my mom dragged me along and I suddenly got only silicone inserted. The nasal tip dropped, and my bulbous nose became even more ridiculously unattractiveㅡㅡ People around me kept saying my nose was disappointing, and even if I said I didn’t care what others thought, I personally felt my nose looked so old-fashioned and I hated it^^

Anesthesia Method Sedation anesthesia~ Honestly, I heard that if weird anesthetic drugs are used for sedation anesthesia, you feel like you’re riding a roller coaster the whole time you’re dreaming, so I got really scared and researched anesthesia a lot, starting from YouTubeㅋ My previous surgery was done under local anesthesia, so I was awake, and because of the trauma from that terrible first surgery in many ways, I was even more scared, sigh; But here, I woke up so cleanly and the surgery was already over, so it somehow felt good. Maybe because I usually have insomnia, it felt like I had slept deeply and woken up?

5. Reason for Choosing Donated Costal Cartilage Instead of Autologous Costal Cartilage I had no prejudice against donated costal cartilage itself. It’s not ancient times anymore, and the rib cartilage materials supplied to plastic surgery clinics are delivered cleanly, already sliced so they can be used right away for surgery. Maybe they’re even cleaner than the hygiene standards of an obstetrics ward full of newborns? It’s something that goes into the human body, so if you think about it with a little common sense, it’s obvious^^ For example, in joint bone surgery, artificial bone is inserted and so on, so why are people especially strict only with cosmetic surgery? If you think just a little rationally and wisely, the answer is clear. As for a downside, they say donated costal cartilage gets absorbed later, but it’s not like a sponge, and unless you’re sensitive, I don’t think you’d feel it. I am sensitive, but even if it drops a little, I’ll just live with it as is.
6. Cost You should know that Nose Lab’s base cost itself is expensive before going for a consultation. I consulted with the manager almost 5 times by phone and had 2 in-person consultations with the director before making up my mind and deciding on surgery. (The base starts from 7 million won.)
7. Satisfaction After removing the splint, I really didn’t like the shape of my nose and thought, what is this? But it was all swelling. Even now the swelling is going down, and since I had a bulbous nose, the swelling is going down slowly^^ Also, from the start, my bulbous nose was severe around the nasal ala area and looked old-fashioned, so what I like most is that this part improved a lot. I’m also satisfied with my side profile. Since there is a limit to what can be fixed on your own nose, if this is my limit, I’d say it improved above average + turned out much better. Shape is important too, but “improvement” mattered more to me: how much it could be improved and made as pretty as possible within the limits of my nose.
8. Importance of Compatibility with the Director For me, this is NO. Am I the only one saying no? The reason is that rather than an emotional director who communicates well verbally, I prefer a director who may be a bit blunt and firm but has good skills and produces good results, and that was my selection standard. This is something you need to brace yourself mentally for, set your mindset, and go around for consultations. If you end up with the wrong collaboration between a consultation manager + a director with flashy talking skills, you’re headed down the path of a ruined nose,, But this is also your own choice. If after surgery, even with a little nose discomfort, you’re going to regret it and think, ah, I should’ve gone to that other director, then from the beginning, it’s right to follow your own choice.
