I have a short and low nose, so I just thought, “I should get my nose done,” and went to 2 places.
1. Clinic A (Apgujeong) It was the first place I visited, and I went in feeling sorry because I arrived much later than my scheduled consultation time. The consultant and doctor explained everything very kindly. They suggested surgery using ear cartilage and septal cartilage. Since my nose is upturned (the nasal tip is higher compared with the nostrils), they said we should focus more on lowering the nasal tip and nostril line rather than raising the bridge. The empty area would be filled with 3 mm silicone.
2. Clinic B (Gangnam) I went for a consultation because they seem to do a lot of revision surgeries and prefer a natural look. When you go in, there are booklets with eye and nose surgery cases, but maybe I just have an untrained eye, because I was confused since there was barely any change between before and after surgery. The consultant was very lovely and tried to help me figure out what kind of nose I prefer. I had a CT scan and then a consultation. The director said that because my nose is small, my septal cartilage would probably be small, and recommended donated costal cartilage. They mentioned quite a lot, including the columella, nostrils, nostril base reduction, nasal lengthening, etc., and as I listened, it all sounded necessary, so I ended up booking almost as if I were under a spell. But I’m worried because they said that if I ever need revision surgery, the more that has been touched, the harder the surgery becomes. I’m also anxious that I’d feel depressed if I look the same after surgery as before.
I’m planning to visit a few more places!
