I had surgery at a clinic, and it’s been about a week now, so I’ll share what I’ve felt after the surgery.
As for swelling and pain, I still have a pulling sensation and some degree of pain left Of course, the swelling is still really puffy too..^^ It’s only this much now because a few days have passed. Honestly, when I looked up reviews or read comments here and there, there were a lot of people saying double jaw surgery is dangerous but not painful, so I didn’t particularly worry about the pain Who said it doesn’t hurt... During the 3 days I was hospitalized, it seriously hurt..? I was really in pain even after getting painkillers, and I barely survived.. They say swelling after double jaw surgery can go down slowly for up to a year, so for now I’m going to keep watching it.
And I’m trying to wear the wafer consistently as much as possible. They said that after double jaw surgery, wearing the wafer is the most important thing for the bones to settle into place and not deform, so even though it’s stuffy and hard, I’m doing it.. If there’s anyone scheduled for or preparing for double jaw surgery, buy Vaseline in advance.. My lips cracked so badly that I’m just constantly applying Vaseline. Since I can only eat liquid food, I’m drinking from a cup, and this is surprisingly inconvenient..^^ Even if it’s uncomfortable, since I already had the surgery, I’m living with the mindset of managing it well so the results can be even better, and I’m going to try to do cold/hot compresses and walks regularly now
What surprised me wasㅋㅌㅋㅋ Even accounting for the swelling, when I wear a mask, the amount of space left is different. The line itself, like the cheekbones and jaw, has become smoother. The director also said the surgical result was good, and said that if I manage it well from now on, I’ll be satisfied.
