I didn’t have much time, so I barely managed to book consultations at just two nearby places and went to them. Maybe it’s peak season these days, but for most of the famous places, the earliest you could get an appointment was around the end of December.
Both places were near Sinsa/Apgujeong, and I went mainly to hospitals specializing only in nose revision surgery.
What I wanted was to remove the L-shaped implant and reconstruct my nose naturally, and it was important that my current image not change.
1. ㅋㅍㄹㅅ They examined me in detail, and since my first surgery was closed rhinoplasty using cartilage from one ear, they said it wouldn’t be a difficult surgery. They also said there was no inflammation, so it wasn’t urgent. If I wanted, they said they could replace the silicone and use ear cartilage (a lot of it) for the nasal tip. I trusted them, but there was no sales pressure at all; rather, they told me to think about it more, so I just left. Consultation fee 10,000 won, CT fee 30,000 won (didn’t take it)
2. ㅋㄴㅍ I was hesitant because the doctor is an ENT specialist, but stability was more important to me than shape, so I went. The consultation was similar, and here they said they would additionally use septal cartilage. Since my nose is very small, they would use ear cartilage as well. The director seemed confident and immediately pointed out the problems with my nose. Consultation fee 5,000 won.
