My eyebrows and eyes are close together, so a lot of skin shouldn’t have been excised, but there was no explanation of side effects, and they basically just cut away the skin.
I was swayed by what the doctor said and got greedy myself, which led to these side effects, but it’s honestly so hard, especially the tinnitus.
I’m currently 3 months post-op. The canthoplasty became uneven. One side was opened too much. The lines and surgical results on both eyes became uneven. (On one side, the line doesn’t form all the way to the inner corner of the eye.) On the other side, the incisional fixation feels deep, or however I should put it, and it’s uncomfortable to open my eye. The line is bumpy. My temple hurts, etc. It could turn out well after 6 or 8 months. But the part where the line isn’t forming and the canthoplasty differs between the two sides is...
During the consultation, they initially explained that the ptosis correction could be restored, but after surgery, when I asked, they told me ptosis correction restoration is impossible. The doctor said that the ptosis correction done on me was removal of sagging skin, so restoration is impossible. I repeatedly checked whether “sagging skin” might be some other term. Ptosis correction being removal of sagging skin... I don’t know if I’ve misunderstood what ptosis correction is, or if there is another method, since I’m not a doctor.
After-service revision is possible, but depending on the surgery, it may not be free and there may be a cost.
I’m writing this review because I’m currently experiencing headaches, tinnitus, and discomfort opening my eyes. I can’t open my left eye the way I normally would and can only open it about 60-70%, which is uncomfortable, and I have a headache on the left side of my forehead with tinnitus.
When I complained of discomfort, the doctor said it was because I’m sensitive. They said I should believe the surgery went well. The aftercare is not good. The canthoplasty is uneven, and on one eye the line doesn’t form all the way at all, so in my mind I can’t see how this could improve just with time.
I need revision surgery 6 months after the operation, but since I have little extra skin and little fat, I think it’s going to be a difficult surgery.
Is there a hospital that is good at revision surgery using the two-line excision technique? I think I need to start looking now to be able to have surgery after 6 months.
