1. Clinic 1 I found out about it through an acquaintance’s introduction, and it had a very clean, quiet, dim-feeling atmosphere. It’s in a building connected to Sinnonhyeon Station, so accessibility is amazing. Their main areas are facelift, breast surgery, and facial contouring. There was a bit of a wait for the director, but there was no overtreatment, and he explained things calmly. It felt like he had his own experience and style. The consultant was very kind, with a little bit of a goofy charm? hehe Overall, it felt high-end and private. They did not do much advertising and seemed to have some pride in being a place people come to by word of mouth. I heard rumors that many celebrities go there too. The price range was correspondingly a bit high, but there was an extra discount for same-day booking, and no cancellation penalty if canceled within one month.
2. Clinic 2 It’s very famous for facial contouring, so there were many waiting patients and staff, and it felt a bit busy and noisy. The facilities did not feel especially clean or new. There was some wait for the director, and it seemed like he came out of surgery and did two consultations back-to-back, probably because there were so many people. I went in only thinking about one cheekbone procedure, but the director recommended square jaw reduction too. He directly got to the point, saying my face would not see much effect with only one procedure. I don’t think it was overtreatment. It felt like, based on his experience and the aesthetic standard he pursues, he was recommending it to me. I also went because I was worried about sunken cheeks, and as expected he mentioned it, saying it should not be like this in your 20s... The director seemed confident in his surgery and had strong pride, and that actually gave trust from the patient’s perspective. He also strongly told me to lose weight. He recommended liposuction too, but said I could do that later if I lose weight and then think it is additionally necessary. Losing weight is directly connected to aftercare too, so I did not feel offended at all and thought it was something I needed to hear. (But if people with fragile feelings go, the tone might hurt them a bit. He did say at the start that he is a bit direct.) The consultant actually felt more professional compared with other places. She explained the cost and organized various things well. Compared with how long I waited, the consultation time was relatively short. The review event has many required posts and is a bit complicated, but without the extra discount, the price is on the higher side.
3. Clinic 3 I found it through online research, and the overall feel of the space was good. They use two floors of the building, and the facilities were clean and neat. It has a brown tone, but because the natural light is good, it feels bright? The CT room was also pleasant, and the consultant and staff were all very kind. (But it was not excessive kindness, so it did not feel burdensome.) The director came right on time and the consultation proceeded. The director explained things in a very theoretical way, close to an ideal standard approach, which was interesting. Because I had heard about the jaw at Clinic 2, I was considering it together, but he said that on CT my jaw is indeed somewhat large. However, if I had not normally thought about my jaw and had only been concerned about my cheekbones, he suggested more conservatively that maybe it would be better to adjust the lower-face soft tissue with liposuction or lifting instead. In any case, facial shape is formed by soft tissue sitting on the basic shape of the bone, and if you shave down the bone, it cannot be reversed. So I thought it was a reasonable conservative approach. If I touch the jaw, side effects such as sagging could come more... Unusually(?) the consultant was also present during the director’s consultation, and after the director’s consultation, she summarized the consultation notes she had written down and wrote them out again. It felt meticulous and professional in a different way from the consultant at Clinic 2. The consultant also said she does not recommend doing areas I am not specifically worried about, and it seemed like she said it very sincerely, so I was grateful. There is a review-event discount, and among the places I have visited so far, it has the biggest price merit.
I still have 2 more reservations left, but I’m now wondering whether to do the jaw together or not.. I think I’ll first go to the 2 remaining places and then think about it. Sunken cheeks are also a big factor for me, so among the places so far, I’m leaning toward Clinic 2.
