My first surgery was 5 years ago with natural adhesion, and the line on my left eye became faint. The sensation when opening my eyes felt different, so I decided to do natural adhesion again along the loosened line.
After washing my face and changing before surgery, I had another consultation. They marked both lines again from different angles. They said it would be good to raise the middle part of the line just slightly, so I agreed. They said my skin type swells easily and that the swelling would also go down slowly. After hearing the explanation of the surgical consent form, I signed it and had my blood pressure checked. They placed an IV line in my right arm and I moved to the operating room.
It felt very clean and organized, which made me feel a bit more at ease. They put the oxygen saturation monitor on my index finger, and I lay down while my arms and legs were secured. They said a sedative was going in, and then I started feeling dizzy, like I had been drinking. They said the director would come in soon, and he came in within a minute. With the director saying, “Give me the injection,” I lost consciousness.
When I came to, everything in front of my eyes looked blue and red and chaotic, and I could feel the warmth of the blanket, so I thought the surgery must be over. (I’m not sure if it was because of the sleep anesthesia or the laser light.) I asked, “Is the surgery over?” but there was no answer, so I just wriggled around by myself.
I gradually started regaining consciousness, and someone walked in with heavy footsteps. They moved the laser machine away and helped me sit up, saying to try sitting. They asked, “Are you dizzy?” and since I was dizzy, I decided to sit for 5 more minutes before getting up. I heard revision surgery can swell less, but that wasn’t the case for me. The right side had severe bruising too, and the anesthesia wore off later.
I didn’t change the line dramatically, so once the swelling goes down, I expect it to look similar to before. If you’re curious about anything, feel free to ask!
