I didn’t have completely monolidded eyes to begin with; I had an inner-out crease that looked somewhat like a hidden double eyelid, but when I opened my eyes, the crease was almost completely hidden, which was a little disappointing T_T
So during the consultation, I said I didn’t want to change my eyes too dramatically, but wanted to keep the inner-out look while making the double-eyelid line a little more visible than it was. The doctor looked at several possible crease lines to suit my eyes and recommended the most natural height, so I had surgery with that line haha.
Before surgery, I had a crease, but when I opened my eyes it sank in almost like a hidden double eyelid, so it was hard to see!! Even when I opened my eyes wide, it wasn’t very visible.. haha. At first after surgery, of course the line looked higher and darker than now because of the swelling.. haha. Still, it seemed to have formed well in the inner-out style I wanted, so I waited for the swelling to go down!!
As you can see in the 3-week photos, after about 3 weeks the major swelling gradually went down and the line looked much more natural. It was definitely more visible than my original hidden crease, but it wasn’t so high that it felt burdensome, so I liked it!!! People around me also complimented me a lot, saying my eyes looked pretty.. haha.
What I wanted was to keep the inner-out look while making the line a little more visible than before, and now it seems to have turned out exactly as I imagined! I was worried it might sink back in like a hidden crease over time, but the line is still holding well, and every time I look at it, I feel I made the right choice
When I was researching clinics, I felt more comfortable with a place where one doctor would continue seeing me rather than a place with several doctors, so having a single doctor was also part of my decision. When I actually went, the doctor carefully assessed which line would suit my eyes, and the coordinator was friendly and comfortable during the consultation too. They didn’t push extra procedures, and since I was able to consult and have surgery focused on what I wanted, I’m satisfied overall!
I hope the line stays just like this for a long time haha.
