In the end, I felt that no matter how inexpensive a high-volume factory-style hospital is, I should not have surgery there. It was extremely difficult to see the doctor. During recovery, I had some truly difficult side effects, but the center treated me like a difficult customer, which was heartbreaking. I kept thinking I should have gone to a private clinic... Since the hospital is large, there were some kind people, but there were definitely others who were not. I was examined by a different doctor from the one who operated on me. When I said I was suffering badly from these side effects, they replied, “But you signed the surgical consent form, didn’t you?”
