I had a retruded chin and protruding mouth, so I had jaw correction when I was young, but I wasn’t satisfied aesthetically, and my snoring was severe too, so I decided to get surgery. I went to several places famous for double-jaw surgery, but they said the amount of change would be small, so they didn’t strongly recommend it. Lastly, I went here for a consultation, and while talking about the temporomandibular joint and relapse, they explained the functional and medical issues differently from other places. That was my first “Oh!” moment here. So because my airway was narrow, I had partial tongue resection, genioglossus advancement, and chin advancement surgery. Right after surgery, all my nerves were alive. Only when I touch the skin on my chin tip, it feels slightly numb. But the tongue resection is seriously so, so, so, so, sooooo painful. The doctor said people say it hurts more than double-jaw surgery.. lol Still, the tongue pain is shorter and more intense than tonsil pain. It was hell for about 7 days, and now it’s finally bearable, so I even gained weight. Even though there’s still swelling, I can feel my chin has come forward, and I thought I’d been living with rhinitis all this time, but I guess not. I can breathe well. Did other people always breathe like this..? I feel a bit wronged lol And my mouth closes well too. I feel like I gained a lot in many ways. Even if you don’t get surgery here, I recommend getting a consultation.
