A few years ago, I had a nose revision surgery without really researching it properly, and it ended up looking so unsatisfying. Because of the inflammation and swelling from that nose surgery, I suffered mentally for a very long time. It was only after 2-3 years that the swelling fully went down and things at least became somewhat okay, but I didn't like the nose shape that was made so differently from my original image, so I decided to have nose surgery once again. This time I decided to choose the hospital more carefully, and whenever I could, I went for consultations, looked up reviews diligently, and put in a lot of effort searching both online and in person. While doing that, I came across review photos from RU Plastic Surgery, and they matched the look I wanted. The reviews for Director Kim Hyeon-ju were so good that I was suspicious, but they spent a long time giving me a careful consultation, and the style I wanted was the one I liked most, so even though the price was extremely steep, they seemed confident, and I also trusted RU's thorough aftercare, so I made a reservation for revision nose surgery. They said to use RU 3D DCF and temple fascia, and honestly I was scared because I wondered if we really needed to use even the temple fascia from the scalp? The scale of the surgery felt too large. Nostril reduction, columella correction, and correction for a pinched nose were included as well, and full-face fat grafting was done too. I had already had revision surgery using autologous costal cartilage before, and it was so painful and hard that I thought I'd never be able to have nose surgery again.. But strangely enough, this surgery had the least swelling and no bruising at all among all the nose surgeries I've had.. I came out after the surgery and was surprised because only my nose was swollen and I looked completely fine. Of course, by days 2-3 the swelling went up a little, but it wasn't that bad, and after that it went down quickly, so by week 2 my front view looked almost completely normal, with only the side view feeling a little unnatural! The donor site for the autologous costal cartilage also didn't hurt this time, unlike my previous surgery, and I'm recovering quickly. The fat grafting seems to have gone well overall and looks natural, but the forehead and temple areas still seem a little bumpy, so every time I go for a follow-up I tell the director, and they say it will improve, so I'm trusting that and watching it closely. Overall, I'm satisfied, and looking at the surgical result, it does seem like the director has very skillful hands~ I still need to keep an eye on the progress a bit longer, but I'm looking forward to seeing how the bridge and tip shape settle as the minor swelling goes down!
