My nasal bridge was low and I did not like the tip of my nose, so I felt that my side profile and my overall facial impression were lacking. I decided to get rhinoplasty because I wanted a nose that was natural, but still somewhat defined and three-dimensional, rather than one that looked too obvious. In particular, I wanted to improve my low nasal bridge and nose tip. While looking into rhinoplasty and searching through several hospitals, an acquaintance told me about a list of hospitals known for doing rhinoplasty well, and that is how I came to know about RU Plastic Surgery. I compared several places and had consultations, and during the consultation they explained in detail the nose shape I wanted and what naturalness would mean, and they also explained the surgery method in an easy-to-understand way, which gave me confidence. After thinking it over, I decided to have my first nose surgery at RU. While consulting with Director Kim Hyeon-ju, I received a detailed explanation of my current nose condition and the parts that could be improved. I said I wanted a natural look, but with a somewhat striking side profile, and after the consultation I decided on silicone for the bridge and autologous costal cartilage for the tip. In particular, I was told that because I had severe deviated septum, it should be corrected first and then the surgery should be done, so that later the nose would not become crooked again. I liked how carefully they checked even those details. They did not just look at the shape of the nose, but explained the overall harmony of the face, the areas that needed correction, and even the parts needed to get closer to the image I wanted. I went in for a nose consultation, but it felt like I received an overall facial consultation, which made me very satisfied. In the end, I had deviated septum rhinitis surgery and rhinoplasty with silicone and autologous costal cartilage. Right after surgery there was swelling and my nose was very blocked, so it was uncomfortable, but as time passed I could feel myself recovering little by little. At first I was worried because the tip of my nose was lifted much more than I expected and there was a lot of swelling, but after the splint was removed and more time passed, it has gradually become more natural. It has not been long since the surgery, so I am still recovering and I think I need to keep watching the final shape a little longer. While recovering I had many questions and concerns, so I contacted the hospital several times, and each time the managers kindly answered the things I was wondering about, which reassured me. I kept asking even about small things, but they explained everything well, which also helped a lot with post-op care. What impressed me especially was that the director personally handles the post-op care. Every time I visited the hospital, Director Kim Hyeon-ju met me in person, checked my current condition, and monitored the recovery process, which made me trust them even more. I liked that they did not just do the surgery and stop there, but directly checked the recovery process too. Right now I can clearly feel that the lines of my nasal bridge and nose tip have changed compared with before, and the side profile also looks different, so I am satisfied. There is still swelling left and the nose shape is still changing, so I plan to wait a little longer to see how the final result settles. Overall, I am satisfied because my nose seems to have turned out in the natural direction I wanted, and even after surgery the director and the hospital have kept checking my condition and responding well to my questions, so I was able to watch the recovery with peace of mind.
